65 Exercises You NEED In Your Repetoire

In my six years of personal training, I have seen a plethora of various training styles and applications thereof. That being said, there is are some consistencies in movement patterns trainees and trainers gravitate to. Most people are pushing, pulling, squatting, and hinging. Some people even lunge and train their core (seemingly less common), but it still happens. This leads to a large degree of repetition, lack of variety and allows for potential weakness to work its way in over time. This is not to say that the basics are bad, in fact, quite the opposite. The basics are EVERYTHING. I am just here to encourage you to inject some novelty into those fundamental movement patterns.

I have created a list of some of my favorite variations for the primary movement patterns. These are movements I have applied with clients and in my training over the past half-decade with great success. A list like this can come in handy when working with clients with whom certain movements gel. So, without further ado, here are 65 of my favorites.
